Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the information you share when you enquire, request a quote, pay a deposit or plan an event with DJ Ozzy.

Who is responsible for your information

DJ Ozzy is the data controller for information collected through this website and the booking workflow. You can raise a privacy request through the website booking form, quoting “Privacy request” in the event notes, or through your existing booking conversation.

Information collected

The booking form can collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, event date and type, venue, postcode, guest count, timings, package choices, music preferences, playlist links and any notes you choose to provide.

The system also records consent and update times, booking status, quote and deposit records, message-delivery results, and limited referral information such as the campaign name or website that brought you here. It does not use that referral data to identify you across other websites.

How the information is used

  • To check availability, understand your event and respond to your enquiry.
  • To prepare and manage quotes, deposits, event plans and client reminders.
  • To provide the booking-status and music-planning tools you request.
  • To protect the website, prevent misuse and understand which pages lead to genuine enquiries.
  • To meet accounting, legal and dispute-resolution obligations where applicable.

These uses are based on taking steps at your request before a booking, performing the booking contract, complying with legal obligations and the legitimate interest in running and improving the service. Contact preferences are used only for the enquiry or booking you initiate.

Who may process the information

Information is stored with the website hosting and database provider. When activated, the email delivery provider processes messages and Stripe processes secure deposit payments. Stripe receives the information needed for checkout; this website does not receive or store complete card details. Professional advisers or public authorities may receive information only where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Retention and security

Records are kept only for as long as they are reasonably needed to manage an enquiry or booking and to meet accounting, legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Unsuccessful or closed enquiries are reviewed for deletion when they are no longer needed. Access to the owner dashboard is restricted, and payment confirmation is accepted only after signed verification from the payment provider.

Cookies and similar storage

The public website does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. It uses temporary browser storage to remember booking attribution and the email used to return to a booking status during the same browser session. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary security technology, and linked services such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Mixcloud, SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music and Stripe apply their own privacy terms when you visit them.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. A request may require reasonable identity checks before booking information is disclosed or changed.
